Login your MS Office 365 account via portal.office.com using your browser, preferably Google Chrome.

Once successfully logged in, it will ask you to secure your account. There are two options to set up the multifactor authentication.

Step 1: You must download the Microsoft Authenticator app on your mobile device via Play Store / App Store. Use the Microsoft Authenticator application logo (refer on the right image) as reference. Once the application is already installed in your device, return to your browser and click Next.

Step 2: In your mobile browser, select “Pair your account to the app by clicking this link”.

This link will open your Microsoft Authenticator app. Confirm your biometrics to add your account.

 

Step 3: If you see your account listed to your Microsoft Authenticator app, return to your mobile browser and click Next.

Step 4: You will get a notification on your phone. Remember the number shown and select the notification to complete the process by inputting the number and selecting Yes.

Step 5: After the verification, return to your mobile browser, click Next button and click Done to proceed in your MS Office 365 dashboard. Do not uninstall the application as this will serve as your verification to your account every time you login your account.

If you choose the “Authentication App”A blue and black padlock with a person in the middle

Step 1: You must download the MICROSOFT AUTHENTICATOR app on your mobile device via Play Store / App Store. Use the Microsoft Authenticator application logo (refer on the left image) as reference. Once the application is already installed in your device, return to your browser and click Next.

Step 2: It will redirect you to the QR Code section. Kindly open your Microsoft Authenticator app in your device, click “Add Account” and choose Work or School account then click the Scan a QR Code.

Once the account is successfully added to your device. Click Next to your PC/Laptop.

 

Step 3: Please confirm the MFA number in your Microsoft Authenticator app.

Step 4: Once the Notification is approved, click Next button and click Done to proceed in your MS Office 365 dashboard. Do not uninstall the application as this will serve as your verification to your account every time you login your account.

If you choose the “Phone” authentication method

Step 1: Kindly register your phone number (Enter phone number starting 9 e.g. 9391234657) and click Next.

Step 2: It will ask you the Captcha test to determine you are not a robot and click Next.

 

Step 3 (If you choose “Receive a code”): Kindly input the MFA code sent to your registered phone number and click Next.

Step 3 (If you choose “Call me”): Answer a call to your registered phone number and follow the instructions to verify.

 

Step 4: Phone verification is complete. Please click the Next button and click Done to proceed in your MS Office 365 dashboard.
